week 4: 9th wonder of the world...

ok so this week im servin up some 9th wonder.. by now most people kno who 9th wonder is: one of the illest producers doin it right now, with a style that is a throwback to the early 90s, basing most of his beats on soul samples similar to the way pete rock and dj premier used to. mostly an underground cat workin with his group Little Brother, 9th broke out into the mainstream when he was asked by Jay-Z to produce a track for "The Black Album". 9th mainly uses FruityLoops to program his shiet and it comes out soundin real soulful.

for today's update i just took a random sample of tracks produced by 9th wonder, so this isn't like a top 5 or anything just some random songs that he's done and ones that i was playing a lot over the weekend.. if u wanna find more do ur own damn searchin, damn.. haha.. enjoy.

this joint is off The Allies EP titled "9th Wonder Presents The Allies". pretty dope release overall, but this track stands out coz of the smooooooth vocal sample and boom bap drums.

nice production on this track, very chill and the lyrics are comedy. this came out on a mixtape that i forgot the title of back in mid 2004 and i still bump it, it flows nice and is easy listening.

this is a track off of "The Perfection Xperiment 2" and it has some hard drums all over it and is a very laid back tune with nice subject matter too. somethin to vibe and lounge to.

off of "9th Gate (The Clear Album)". very smooth beat on this track, with some signature 9th drums. lyrics talkin bout relationship issues. pretty nice song.

Little Brother - Hiding Place (feat. Elzhi)

one of my favourite 9th Wonder beats.. kinda dark but the vocal sample airs it out, definitely grab this. (notice how my descriptions get shorter and shorter, haha i gotta go eat, peace im outta here)
